One of the primary motivations for producing Dombrov Baseball and this web site is the enjoyment and passion I get out of playing sports replay games. Sports Illustrated Baseball was my first experience at playing such a game and that was followed shortly after with Sports Illustrated Football and the latter PayDirt edition. Throughout the 1970’s I spent countless hours enjoying both of these games. So in today’s Internet era, I was very pleased to see that there is still an interest in these games and I hope to contribute in maintaining and perhaps increasing that interest.

I’ve also played computer versions of several sports simulation games and am fascinated by the different approaches taken by very talented developers to produce these games. Although I have worked in the software development business for years my work has always been outside of the computer games industry until now. With Dombrov Baseball I am achieving my goal of always wanting to develop my own game.

My goal is to continue improving Dombrov Baseball with help from the gaming community via feedback and patronage of the program. There has been some success with this goal as there is now a second major release that contains several new features and enhancements. I hope to continue this progress by growing the number of available seasons and improving the game as time allows.
